Oilers sign junior goalie as backup

The Edmonton Oilers announced that goaltender Nikolai Khabibulin will sit out Saturday's game against Chicago and have signed junior goaltender Torrie Jung, serving as Jeff Deslauriers' backup against the Blackhawks. Khabibulin will miss the game as a precaution as he continues to deal with a injured back. He last played in Monday's 3-2 shootout loss at Columbus Blue Jackets in edmonton oilers jersey.

Jung is in his second season with the Western Hockey League’s Edmonton Oil Kings after two seasons with the Kelowna Rockets. He has appeared in 20 games with the Oil Kings in 2009-10. He was originally selected by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the seventh round in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
